Henning von Bauer, LCSW
Psychotherapist

Come as you are. Our first step in therapy is meeting you where you are at. I try to connect by listening openly, observing carefully, reflecting mindfully, and then collaborating to figure out what can help. I have provided therapy for over 25 years, with a wide variety of people, facing a broad range of symptom challenges. I provide trauma-informed, compassionate support.
My style is conversational, non-judgmental, and curious about how people can access what they need. Therapy tools I draw on are from mindfulness, CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, and Internal Family Systems. I am comfortable supporting people with co-occurring substance use, mood disorders, anxiety and depression, gender and other identity issues, partner and parenting relational stress. I am an LGBTQ community ally. For the past 8 years, my work has included providing community-based therapy support for young adults experiencing first episode psychosis, and for adults struggling with mental health and addiction recovery, physical health challenges, and poverty stressors.
As an avid fitness practitioner and cook, I also enjoy supporting people developing exercise and wellness habits.
