Psychotherapist

I am a licensed professional counselor and substance abuse counselor, working out of the Madison office. I work primarily with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma/PTSD, and those who are seeking recovery from addiction. I believe that healing comes not just from knowledge and rational understanding, but from wisdom embodied within yourself.

I also specialize in Somatic Experiencing (SE), as an intermediate level Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in training. SE is a body-based approach to therapy. By including the body’s responses in therapy, we can find deeper healing by integrating change at a nervous system level. I incorporate SE into most of my practice, in addition to CBT, DBT, and narrative therapies. My goal in therapy is to be with you; to work collaboratively to better understand your struggles holistically – mind, body, and spirit; and to help you integrate healthier thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
