I have always known I wanted to pursue a career in psychiatry. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UW-Madison and began my nursing career at Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison. There, I gained early experience working with individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness and developed a strong appreciation for the importance of accessible, community-based mental health care.
I went on to earn my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a specialization in psychiatry from UW-Madison. During graduate school, I continued working in the field on an inpatient psychiatric unit at the VA Hospital as well as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. These roles shaped my clinical approach and reinforced the importance of trauma-informed care.
After becoming board certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I began working at Group Health Cooperative (GHC) where I provided outpatient psychiatric care to adolescents and young adults. During this time, I also specialized in ADHD evaluations and treatment.
At The Psychology Clinic, I work with adolescents through older adults, serving individuals enrolled in CCS as well as those with commercial insurance. As a member of your care team, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. My role is to help you understand your options and support you in making informed decisions about your care. I strive to empower individuals to take an active role in their treatment and to support them in building the lives that feel meaningful, balanced and fulfilled.
