Julie Franklin, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating a difficult life transition, struggling in your relationships, or carrying the effects of past trauma, you don't have to face it alone. Therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, develop practical tools, and move toward the life you want to live.

I work with adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, women's health issues, and the many complexities that come with balancing work, family, and personal wellbeing. Whether you're facing a specific challenge or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, so I draw from evidence based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and trauma informed care. I also integrate mindfulness, somatic techniques, and Polyvagal informed principles to help you better understand the connection between your mind and body while developing practical skills for everyday life.

Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and work toward goals that are meaningful to you. My hope is that you'll leave each session feeling heard, supported, and better equipped to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self compassion.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 20 years of clinical experience. I earned my Master of Social Work from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, and began my career in Illinois before relocating to Wisconsin with my family. Before entering private practice, I worked with Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), helping individuals navigate personal, workplace, and family challenges. Those experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience people bring to therapy and the importance of creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where healing can happen.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children. We love attending concerts, exploring new places—from thrilling roller coasters to peaceful nature trails—and I'm always happy to discuss a great book recommendation.
