Psychotherapist
I completed my Bachelors degree in social work at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and went on to complete my Masters degree in social work with an emphasis on mental health at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and am now a licensed clinical social worker.

I have training in therapy across the lifespan and enjoy working with clients with a multitude of struggles. I have training and experience working with children and adolescents in various settings and from various backgrounds including foster care, schools, home, and outpatient settings. I strive to meet clients where they are at and gain an understanding of how they experience the world around them. I collaborate with parents and natural supports in treatment to provide recommendations and accept feedback into how techniques can be implemented at home and school to increase success.

I specialize in working with people dealing with crisis situations and have experience working at the crisis unit in Dane county for the past several years which has provided me the opportunity to rapidly build relationships, assess, and make difficult decisions in the height of a crisis. I enjoy assisting clients in finding ways to persevere and emerge from a crisis with lifelong skills to face challenges in the future. I use a broad range of techniques in therapy to include mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy and feel that a collaborative approach built on a trusting relationship is the most essential component.

I have been in the Madison area for the past 5 years, and have enjoyed the rich, diverse community and local events. I grew up on a dairy farm in rural Wisconsin. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, playing with my son at the park, gardening, and finding ways to create our own adventures at home.
