Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health. I have over 10 years of mental health experience working with adolescents, adults and families. Much of my experience and passion is embedded in working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, women’s issues and trauma. Additionally, I have a special connection and interest in working with military families and consider it a small way to give back to our service members and their families.

I ground my therapeutic approach in an eclectic, strength-based and humanistic manner, but value adjusting therapy to each individual and meeting them where they are at. I draw from various approaches that include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness based practices and some sense of humor!

Regardless of the approach being used, I find it extremely important to provide an open, non-judgmental and authentic space for people to safely explore their needs. I am grounded in the belief that we all have an inherent ability and strength to achieve change and growth in a meaningful manner. I believe that my role is to encourage and challenge you in a way that feels empowering and compassionate and promotes healthy change. I look forward to walk alongside you through your journey to create a more fulfilling life.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, cooking and various outdoor activities. I love spending time on hikes or on the water with my husband and our dog, Cooper.
